Villa Merlo Dragoni, a historic seventeenth-century residence in Lovaria, a village near Pradamano not far from Udine, awaits you with its lush park and charming reception rooms, where you can let yourself be transported into a fairyland. A bucolic avenue lined by plane trees leads you to the enchanting building, and the atmospheric parkland and reception rooms are the perfect setting for all kinds of events: weddings, small private ceremonies (birthdays, christenings, communions, etc.), private parties, business functions, conventions, and so on.

The villa was built sometime between the late sixteenth and early seventeenth century. It was then modernised later in the seventeenth century to suit changing tastes. The rooms boast frescoes by renowned painters from north-east Italy, such as Canal, Chiarottini and local followers of Domenico Morelli. The resources of the whole villa and its grounds can be drawn on to stage your particular event and a team of professionals will help you bring together the details that will make it a complete success.

The villa comes with an assortment of furnishings and appliances, such as tables, chairs, candlesticks, braziers, and crucially, a kitchen fully equipped for catering. Should you decide to use or add to the articles available, our staff will help you choose those that best suit your taste and the style you’re after, as well as taking care of the logistics and all the installation in loco. A large car park is accessible from the main road, so guests will have no problem parking. Those with physical disabilities will find there is also easy access to the villa from the centre of Lovaria. The church of San Giovanni Battista is ideally placed for religious ceremonies and stands in the centre of Lovaria, just a few metres from the villa.
